Corporate Health and Safety Policy

Radium believes that health and safety in the workplace is of the utmost importance.

Since we opened our doors in 2007, we have been a member of the COR program with Enform as our certifying partner.  Health and Safety is a value that we have instilled in our people and have believed in our hearts since the conception of our business.

With a strong commitment to health and safety we have developed a Safety Management System (SMS) based on the following foundational principles:

  • Management Involvement & Commitment

Our senior management team is actively engaged in health and safety at all aspects.  Safety starts at the top with a hands on leadership approach to our SMS.

  • Hazard Identification and Control

Hazard identification and recognition through Site Specific (FLHA- Field Level Hazard Assessments) and Formal Level (JSA’s – Job Safety Analysis) hazard assessments.

  • Health and Safety Hazard Control Measures

Implementation of hazard control measures through elimination, substitution, engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment.

  • Training

Continuous OTJ (on-the-job) Training, worker mentorship, and competency assurance throughout all levels of employees.

  • Emergency Response Planning

Preparing for potential emergencies by being equipped with the proper training, resources and equipment to respond when needed.

  • Incident Reporting & Investigations

Immediate reporting, investigating, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions from unfortunate events.  Taking the “lessons learned” and sharing them with the workforce.

  • Communication

Taking time out to talk and communicate with our team ensuring that our conversations are based around creating the best work environment possible.  Strategic meetings take place quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily to bring safety to the forefront.
